According to recent research by CBRE, the wider London market has managed to remain strong throughout the first quarter of 2016, with Nationwide* reporting annual price growth of 11.5%.
This figure is in line with the average growth rates seen throughout 2015. The market saw transactions drop drastically throughout 2015, yet nearly 30,000 new build units were sold which was an increase of 19% from 2014.
The report goes on to highlight how ‘the market is suffering from a lack of stock for sale with RICS reporting the average stock of homes per estate agent as about half of the long-term average.’
