Inspired films with Channel 5 for The Hotel Inspector

Yesterday was no ordinary day in the office for the Inspired team. Instead of sitting at our desks and developing even more brilliant homes, we made our way to a television set in West Kensington.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Two Four Productions; a large company in the land of the television, having produced shows such as The Jump for Channel 4 and The Housing Enforcers for BBC One.

The crew set up, our CEO Martin Skinner was prepped, lights were lit and then we kicked into action.

Presenter, Alex Polizzi led the show titled The Hotel Inspector. It featured an elderly couple who need a helping hand with their hotel which has found itself in financial difficulty. Four experts, including Martin, were invited to the set, all bringing different areas of expertise to the table.

Meeting Alex was an experience in itself. She has a diverse and impressive background, having graduated from Oxford University, to then opening a bakery which supplies Fortnum & Mason, and also running a chain of hotels. Her television background boasts guest spots with the quintessentially British Richard E Grant, as well as hosting The Hotel Inspector for many years and Secret Italy for Channel 5.

After filming several pieces to camera, general view shots of the surroundings, and a large debate which led to some interesting conclusions, filming finally came to an end mid-afternoon.

The show will air later this year. Don’t worry – we’ll be sure to let you know when Mr Skinner himself features on the small screen.
