We have recently completed the acquisition of 15-29 The Broadway in Crawley, taking our total of London-owned properties for conversion to eight.
This latest development in West Sussex is located in the town centre and has already prompted excellent reactions from local press. Having acquired the vacant three-storey former office building, which is an area of opportunity and development under the ‘Crawley Borough Development Framework’, for £2.8 million.
Inspired will demolish the existing building and replace it with 78 superb new apartments subject to planning, alongside retail space on the ground floor to help boost the local economy.
Local newspaper, Crawley News, reports on the benefits of this acquisition, with local shop-owner Deborah Dowding saying the development will have a brilliant impact on independent stores by increasing footfall throughout the area.
Despite the apartments being of a larger scale, they will continue to remain within the Inspired Homes first time buyer price range. Additionally there will be balcony spaces for all units, and a communal resident’s terrace. Residents will also benefit from excellent transport links, with the location boasting a simple 45 minute commute to Central London.
“15-29 The Broadway is an attractive proposition not just for first time buyers looking to take that first step on the property ladder, but also for real estate investors looking to invest in London’s affordable private housing market,” explains Martin Skinner, CEO of Inspired Asset Management.
