Young Londoners flock to the burbs to get more bang for their buck

Recent research suggests that more young Londoners are moving to the suburbs after becoming increasingly disgruntled with soaring property prices, with Surrey proving the most post popular place for outmovers.

Whether it’s a buzzing social scene, a tech landscape, rolling parks or extraordinary amenities, we spend months researching and analysing different locations to ensure that the areas we choose are perfect for first-time buyers. One area in Surrey that we have chosen is Epsom where we have our Rutland House development.

If you don’t know too much about the leafy suburb of Epsom, one of the first things you need to know is that you get an awful lot more for your money, yet you’re only 30 minutes from central London.

It’s leafy surroundings and bustling town centre mean that first-time buyers and young professionals are flocking to Epsom to enjoy the best of the town and country.

When it comes to staying local, the Canopy and Field to Fork are just two of the eateries in the area that are highly recommended and well worth a visit. Locals tend to head to the Ashley Centre for shopping, with many of the country’s major high street names based there, but Natterjacks on the high street is the place to go for urban wear. For a night out, Boogie Lounge, with its cool beats and illuminated dancefloor, is a popular choice.

Epsom also has a vibrant student scene due to the presence of the Laine’s performing arts college and UCA, University for the Creative Arts.

All apartments in Rutland House are fitted out to an exceptional standard, including wooden floors, granite worktops, marble bathrooms, and designer fittings – yet at just £259,950, they are priced with first-time buyers in mind.

If you plan to visit Epsom and would like to arrange a viewing, please contact the sales team on 020 8688 6552.
