Between Saturday 9th and Tuesday 12th March, a convoy of petrol heads from the property industry will be tearing from London to Cannes to raise money for BuildAid in what is the second annual Inspired MIPIM Rally.
Sponsors will get to have their company logos printed on the supercars for all to see, including readers of Property Week, and will be supporting a great cause in BuildAid. BuildAid is a small family-run construction charity focusing on building schools, shelters and medical facilities for vulnerable people throughout the world.
The 2018 Inspired MIPIM Rally raised £13,000 for BuildAid – an outstanding result for the inaugural event. Last year’s sponsors included ARJ, GreenOak Real Estate and Hyperoptic with the CEOs of Freedom Capital, Glenhawk, Magna Group, RainMaker Assets, Staykeepers and Troika Property participating – and the money raised was spent constructing shelter homes for young girls in the Philippines rescued from child sexual exploitation.
This year we intend to go much further targeting £30,000, which will be spent constructing classrooms and shelters in Kenya. If you’d like to participate in the Inspired MIPIM rally, it’s £500 per car to enter, paid as a donation to BuildAid, and you must raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship. You’ll get a head-start on the property networking while driving Europe’s most stunning roads. All before making an impressive entrance to the MIPIM conference alongside your fellow Inspired MIPIM Rally-ers and new best mates.
Commenting, Inspired’s Chief Executive Martin Skinner, said: “Last year’s event was so much fun! We raised £13,000 despite organising the rally about 6 weeks before it. This year, we’re planning well in advance so there is plenty of time to get people revved up. BuildAid is a fantastic cause giving life back to people who have often lost everything. Your support means they can help even more people.
“Space on my McLaren 675LT Spider is filling up fast so get in quick to avoid disappointment. You don’t want to end up with one of the ‘sugar’ cars or the Piaggio trike that pitched up last year. If you would like to join the rally, we have 16 slots available. Katie Muir from BuildAid is kindly arranging accommodation for everyone and she is also booking a transporter to take cars back home after MIPIM.”
