Vote for Central Cross at the First Time Buyer Magazine Readers’ Awards

Central Cross, Croydon

Inspired Homes has been shortlisted for Most Innovative Redevelopment of an Existing Property at the First Time Buyer Magazine Readers’ Awards.

Last year we were Highly Commended in this category for Nine Sutton Court Road and this year we are looking to go one better with our Central Cross development in Croydon and win.

How to vote

The winner is decided by you, the public, by voting for the development you would like to win. To vote for us, simply click HERE and select Central Cross.

Central Cross

Central Cross redevelops a 1970s office building in the heart of Croydon’s restaurant quarter, creating 82 micro-apartments and eight stunning penthouses – all within reach of first-time buyers and benefiting from Help to Buy.

The building was stripped back to the concrete slabs, exposing its core, before being reskinned with a stunning new residential facade comprising contemporary grey brickwork and bronze cladding, covered with balconies and topped by a new floor containing the penthouses, several of which benefit from large wrap-around terraces.

The entrance to the building welcomes you into an impressive glazed atrium that leaves a lasting impression with a mural by local artist Rich Simmons, who has been responsible for some of Croydon’s most recognisable street art.

The awards

Now in their 9th year, the First Time Buyer Magazine Readers’ Awards are one of the biggest awards in the industry, recognising companies helping first-time buyers get on to the property ladder.

The Most Innovative Redevelopment of an Existing Property category looks for properties that have been redeveloped using fresh ideas that uphold the integrity of the original building and make best use of the retained features and surroundings.

The results will be announced on Friday 20 April 2018 at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel in London, where industry professionals will come together to find out the winners and those highly commended.
