Record raise for Morris Cannonball Run 2017

Morris Cannonball Run

An incredible week, which saw our chief executive Martin Skinner and his co-pilot James Morris-Manuel drive 2,500 miles across Europe in a McLaren 675 LT Spider, was capped off with a record raise for Morris Cannonball Run.

Over £160,000 was raised for BuildAid from just eight cars participating – enough to build three orphanages in the Philippines. And the Cannonball appears to have been eventful with face painting, a shortage of High Octane fuel and a near miss with a seven foot German gentlemen – in the hotel, not on the road!

If you haven’t already, you can still support Martin and James by donating as much or as little as you like by visiting their mydonate page HERE.

BuildAid is a truly worthwhile cause started in 2005 by a team of built environment professionals in response to the South East Asian Tsunami. It has since evolved to provide long-term community projects (including new schools, orphanages and medical centres) for over 400,000 people in need across four continents. They also manage their own projects meaning that all the money donated goes directly to the cause.

A big thanks to everyone that sponsored Martin and James with a special thank you to ARJ Construction and Hyperoptic for their generous donations.

In case you missed them on Facebook, here are some snaps from the Cannonball.
