The Inspired MIPIM Rally has received pledges of £25,000 and hopes to reach the its £30,000 target once the dust settles. All of the money raised goes to BuildAid, a charity that runs community projects for those living in post-disaster areas across the developing world.
£21,500 was pledged in sponsorship donations with more expected from the charity auction.
Setting off from the De Vere Devonport Hotel in Greenwich on Saturday the 9th of March, a convoy of petrol heads from the property industry, led by Inspired’s Chief Executive Martin Skinner in his Aston Martin V600 Volante, made their way south passing a number of notable checkpoints including a stop-off at the Geneva Motorshow and photo stops throughout the Alps before arriving in Cannes on Tuesday the 12th, in time for MIPIM. Martin was joined by 10 other supercars including a BMW i8, Porsche 911, Bentley Mulsanne Speed, Ferrari, Lotus and Mercedes SL.
Commenting, Martin Skinner, Chief Executive of Inspired Homes and Inspired Asset Management and Founder of the Inspired MIPIM Rally, said: “I’m delighted that everyone enjoyed the rally and that we’ll hit our target. BuildAid is a fantastic cause and they deserve every penny, which will be spent constructing classrooms and shelters in Kenya.”
