Over the last 24 months, Croydon has become increasingly desirable due its excellent transport links, brilliant atmosphere and the arrival of the new Westfield shopping centre.

This latest research has revealed how Croydon is, however, among the London boroughs with the lowest number of expensive homes, with just 97 properties out of 3855 over the £1 million mark.

Yet, as an article in the Croydon advertiser quotes, ‘house prices in Croydon have risen 15% in the past year, with the average home costing £427,000 to £370,000 this time last year.

The pricey houses were clustered near Crystal Palace, Purley, Coulsdon and Addington Hills. One four bedroom house in Norbury was listed for £3,500,000, while a home listed for sale in the exclusive Webb Estate was for sale for £2,200,000.
